My Best Wedding Photos 2023

Each year I wonder if this will be my last year as a wedding photographer. I can’t quite believe that this is my job. In such a competitive industry, I’m endlessly grateful that couples continue to give me their trust to photograph one of the most important days of their lives.

I take this job very seriously. Documenting a wedding day is a huge task. Even if it’s just a small wedding day. Photographing in a way that makes the viewer feel something is not a one-and-done way to photograph. My camera is always up, I’m photographing when people (other than the clients) don’t know why I’m photographing.

Wedding photography is more than just the big moments. It’s the little in-between moments, the expressions, the gestures, the hugs, the laughs, and the tears. It’s when the veil almost blows away, when your dog photobombs your group photo, or when the flower girl cruises onto the dancefloor on her ride-on car.

For whatever reason, I am completely obsessed with making images. I wish this obsession translated into other aspects of business. I drag myself through tax season, I do my best to write blogs and post content online, but when it comes to the wedding, I am firing on all cylinders. Fuelled by the quest to make the best wedding photos.

Let’s go 2024!
